Oktoberfest Kick-Off Party - Sleepless!

All I can say is, Ortigas was never this fun!

San Miguel Oktoberfest in Ortigas

I am very happy that a busy street full of walking stressed and hectic employees has been transformed into a fiesta party place :D

I could feel the excitement of all people in Ortigas, talks about Oktoberfest can be heard inside elevators and outside, people are planning what time they will attend the San Miguel beer party-fest. Come 5PM, the vibe of Ortigas came alive, bands started playing and people started to come together.

This really is one unique experience and I feel bad for people who didn't join the party.

I enjoyed Sugarfree's performance and also the beatles playing band called Bloomfields. They are so adorable! I felt like I was in the 60's or whichever decade Beatles was in, hehe.

Third Eye Blind performed around 12 midnight and I was all sweat, water, and beer - their performance ended at around 1.30 in the morning. Loved it when they performed How's it Gonna Be x.x

I managed to arrive home at 3 in the morning, it really is one big fiesta - larger than life celebration. Thank you to San Miguel for making this happen!

Now I am also part of the Guiness Book Record for the longest bar ever :)

San Miguel Oktoberfest 2008 Launch

Wednesday, 27th of August - San Miguel Ave. It was the launch of SMC's Oktoberfest, this time 120 days of friendship and beer!

I headed straight to the San Miguel compound where the party was starting and pulsating beats are already heard across the streets. Rivermaya and Stone Free were just some of the bands who graced the Oktoberfest Press Launch. Rivermaya with their new vocalist, performed the Oktoberfest Ciento Bente (120 days) song as their last performance and every one was served with the limited edition Oktoberfest beer. The beer is smooth and best served zero degrees.

I also won a Timex watch during the raffle!

There was an open bar with free flowing San Miguel beer and a buffet table filled with pasta, spare ribs, etc. It was a fun night and a perfect venue to celebrate friendship and the good things in life. This is just a preview and I am excited for September 5 - Friday!

The whole stretch of San Miguel Avenue will be serving beer and bands will perform as Pinoys try to get to the Guiness Book of Records for the most number of people toasting and the longest beer bar ever!

I'll mark the date and it is the perfect way to kick-off the weekend next Friday :) see you all there!
