Spinning Around - June

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf with Bobby Chinn

With blogger friends, after our trip to the SM Discovery Center - we squeezed ourselves into Ria's car (thank you very much) and drove to Boni High Street. Bobby Chinn was there talking about coffee, food, and his travel experiences.

I'll always miss the desserts we had that night and wish that I can get them every time, even at home. Coffee and desserts seem to vary in taste depending on who you are with, the ambiance, the energy around you... much like any type of food.

LG Health Collection Launch at Shangrila Hotel

Met Angel Aquino who reminds me that I should eat healthy. I always admire models and their discipline when it comes to diet and fitness. LG chose her to be the face of their latest collection of stylish and super high-tech appliances. If I win the lottery and have a new house, I'll probably get everything and pretend like the perfect housewife in koreanovelas.

The Ridiculous Burger at Burger Avenue

Hans was at the porch and welcomed us to Burger Avenue. Azrael took the ridiculous burger challenge wherein he had to finish one giant burger with 3 patties in less than 5 minutes. Diners who get to win this challenge need not pay for the ridiculous burger, so if you want to eat for free, swallow your burger in less than 5 minutes!

I enjoyed the time with Ada and Jonel, watching Jonel and Azrael stuff their face with burgers was exciting. Ada just had a regular burger and I had the "sexy burger" with lettuce leaves in place of bread buns.

On a more personal note, I am still waiting for calls and as of the moment, I am just focusing on writing for my blogs. I've resurrected Pinay Money Maker which had 7 adsense clicks today alone. Friends have advised me to try selling links which I am now doing to keep upfloat. But dear family who are reading this, I am still "waiting" for work (and waiting for that one call), I am not bumming around and I am using my time seriously that my brain is already going to explode. I've been selling stuff here and there and thankful that friends are willing to help. Suddenly, I feel like a squatter in my own home x.x Yet, I have a plan which I believe in and stick to, I want to think positive and get what I really want and love to do rather than settle for something I might just regret. I want to write. Maybe God is teaching me how to be patient :)

At The Langham

Last Tuesday, we celebrated Vincent's and Tito Emboy's birthdays at the Langham Palace Hotel. They have a classy restaurant which has an extensive selection in their buffet.

Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Australian, seafood, and lots lots lots of desserts!

I feel good!

Happy Birthday Vincent and Tito Emboy :)

Long Day at the City

Today I woke up early to finally walk around the city by myself, or at least with my little sister Liza. Our travel mate and mama's BFF Nanay also arrived in the morning via Philippine Airlines. She was very energetic as usual without any signs of flight fatigue or jetlag. She pushed mama to come and join our walkathon.

In the end, all 5 of us trekked towards the Victoria State Library then to the shopping centers in the city. Joni, me, Liza, Mama, and Nanay. It was very cold but I bet all of us were itching to spend some.

At Bourke street, I found my little heaven of fashion. It's called Sportsgirl and at last, I now own a pair of those liquid latex tights.

Liza and I asked to be left while the others fetch Anya from school. The two of us went to 3 different shopping malls - Myer, David Jones, and Target. Next time we'll go back again to shop even more :D Now I am happy again.

With frozen faces and tired legs, Liza and I just had to grab a seat at Mcdonald's. I was also curious at how this fastfood branch would be different from the one in the Philippines. Everything here is self-service and you have to pay for ketchup. The burger also looks lonely.

That's all for now, we'll be flying to Sydney in a day or two to celebrate Anya's 6th birthday there.

Rice Bar in Swanston St.

Today was a rainy day so we had to stay at home except for some shopping after attending Anya's general assembly. Vincent said we'll visit a Sushi Bar but we ended up in a Chinese Resto nearby called Rice Bar.

Here's Anya and me getting ready for a dinner out. She likes to watch me putting on my powder and lip balm. She used my powder brush and asked for shiny lips. Then she got her make up kit and we made her cheeks quiet red. We had to fix it with tissue afterwards :)

And as I was trying to get an outfit shot for styleandrelax.net, Anya insists that she joins in the photo.

Finally we got to walk outside, it was chilling cold but I was excited to eat more.

Eating and Trotting before Leaving

Well, it's just days to go before I leave Manila. I am excited and terrified at the same time. I hope my airplane would be the friendly kind. I've been "practicing" sitting on a plane inside the bus - weird. Traveling is one of the greatest things you can do except the flying part T_T

I made the most out of this week though. I'll miss the blogging scene for a month and all the craziness of our daily schedule.

Sampling the afternoon tea at Bizu Patisserie.

At the Asian Institute of Management with bloggers and marketing practitioners. Azrael was one of the panelist and I was unusually proud of him *lol*

With Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet, Jonel of LetsgoSago.net, Me of StyleandRelax.net, and at the back is Reg of Raquedan.com

And finally, attending (shopping in) the Adidas Store Opening.

Today, (it's 3AM now as I write) I'll be hosting the first Fashion and Beauty bloggers tea party of StyleandRelax.net - it was very last minute but I thank my sponsors for their overwhelming support and love <3

After this mayhem, I shall pack *light* and get ready for an awesome adventure!

Spinning Around

Party at Coconut Palace with Az

Hello! Mabuhay! Finally I have the energy to write over here at my personal blog. StyleandRelax.net is becoming more promising each day. I've just made 2 advertising deals and more businesses are trying to get in touch. Some want to be featured, reviewed, or just make friends which is great! :) Now I have a spark of hope that maybe, I can do what I love forever... hopefully so.

Working with Tough Jeans

Today I visited Tough Jeans and had fun dressing up the staff, taking photos, telling people how to pose, and interviewing Joy the store manager. We moved around things and clothes all over the store, everyone was energetic. Who wouldn't be excited with their stylish inventory of jeans? I want all the pairs of Tough Jeans in the world.

FitFlops Mallxercise

Weeks before that I found myself trying out FitFlops which I am now addicted on. I can't wait to get my own pair of Aurelia Gladiator Fitflops, I hope there's a pair available in Australia or maybe in the US.

Then here I am resting with a Mojito, thank you T.G.I Friday's! They have a promo now that will give you more excuses to party on a weekday.

Bio Essence Serenity Spa

My mini project with beauty bloggers at Bio Essence was also a success. This is the first time StyleandRelax.net partnered with a spa to have services reviewed by a group of bloggers. Everyone went home pampered with diamond peels, massages, and facials. I'm planning more activities and hope that they also push through :D

Liza is also on vacation so we have more fun together outside and at home. Look at our silly Krispy Kreme photo:

Till the next spin! :D

Great time at Hermanos Tapas & Deli Bar

Last night we traveled all the way to Julia Vargas to meet food bloggers at the new Hermanos Tapas & Deli Bar. The crew of QTube were present too as they wanted to feature food bloggers, and I got interviewed by Qtube host Andy (the guy). Andi9 interviewed my friend Fran, watch out for the Hermanos feature on Qtube every Thursday :)

Anyway, the food, wine, ambiance were all great especially shared with friends. Jane was there with her lovey-dovey Christian and Paul - Fran's sweetheart. Our table was filled with hearty conversations and I missed Azrael who arrived late as usual. He came from another event for Animax.

I'll write more about Hermanos at Style and Relax and share my very own photos there.
UPDATE: check out http://styleandrelax.blogspot.com/2009/03/how-to-enjoy-tapas-party-at-hermanos.html

Here's a glimpse of what we had:
