Starbucks' branch at rockwell held a coffee appreciation workshop exclusively for Spot.ph. It was all worth the traffic and the Friday chaos!
Loads of cakes and coffee of different origins and blends- Sumatra, Colombia, and Cafe Estima. Sarah of Rustan Coffee taught everyone how to pair coffee with desserts, the right way to sip or slurp, and how to bring out that perfect aroma.
My choice of the night was Sumatra which was a bit thicker and full than Colombia and it was perfect for the Chocolate Chantil Cake.
All the coffee and sugar electrified everyone, Starbucks was filled with friendly introductions, chats, and socializing over mugs and dessert plates. Coffee can turn any wallflower into a chatterbox!
Thank you so much to Spot.ph and Starbucks for hosting this magnificent coffee night. We all enjoyed and look forward to more cups!

Looking for me?
I am having a great time with everything! Pouring more time to Style and Relax, and thank you so much for all the opportunities to mingle in fabulous events, shows, and workshops.
Please do visit the Style and Relax Blog and the Style and Relax Shop as well.
I have been having nightmares that I am back sitting on an office chair, yes and good thing I wake up to my new reality where everything I do is for genuine LOVE and PASSION.
A good lesson I'd love to share is to let go, and let God. Without you knowing it, you'll see the real intention of people around you! In times of challenge, it pays to keep quiet and observe. Whatever you let go of will come back if it's meant to be.
I am sitting back and enjoying the show.
Adieu!

Anya Plays the Guitar
Here is Anya playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on her guitar. Her daddy Vincent and she practice playing every night.
She is such a doll, love her bangs and the way she handles the guitar is wonderful. Just like a real rock star.

Dinner and Coffee with Senator Mar Roxas
I am honored to be sitting with the Filipino Voices who were all knowledgeable and opinionated about current issues, even political history and the law. They made the casual conversation very insightful and challenging.
I also met Mr. Bobby Capco and Richard Vargas who I want to thank for arranging a mini-interview with me and Senator Roxas :) Watch out for it on Style and Relax and find out how the could-be President for 2010 winds down after a hectic day at the senate.
We all had a great time and I hope Senator Mar Roxas also did. While traveling home I couldn't stop thinking of all the problems our country face that I just hope God will come soon to save all of us from power-trippers, corrupt persons, unfair practices, and inequality. Yet, we are all instruments of Him so let's believe we can still do something and not lose dear hope. Wishing that Filipinos can exercise their right to vote on 2010... cheers!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
First movie event for 2009, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button movie premiere and lovely cocktails at the Gateway Cineplex.
The hors d'oeuvres were perfect to prepare guests for the 3 hour movie. 3 hours of Brad Pitt and 3 hours of amazing cinematography. Throughout the movie, I felt like I was staring at a renaissance painting. The costumes, the set, and the words used were all works of art.
The way they transformed Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchet as they were aging is amazing, this made me curious after all. I wouldn't mind growing old like Cate Blanchett does. Yet, in the movie, Brad Pitt aka Benjamin Button faces a great ordeal on how to live a normal life.
Based on a book by F. Scott Fitzgerald, expect no less than mental stimulation. The movie left me thinking about Benjamin's challenging fate while making me reflect on my own age and life as well. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a movie about aging, a reality and challenge that each of us face. The question is, how are you going to live your life and when are the best years of your life. At which point or age did you consider yourself perfect?
Honestly, I had mental overload after the movie. I am a thinking person and I could just feel my brain cells throbbing as I walked home. The issue on age, the jokes and stereotypes surrounding it are an everyday thing. Yet, each person knows deep in their hearts that age is just a number - unlike love or passion that stays for many years.
If you've reached this part then smart ones, watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Be sure to bring your smartest date for an ultimate intelligent discourse when the curtain rolls down.
Special thanks to Warner Brothers for another remarkable screening :)

TV5 Live Carnavan at Star City
It was my first day out since new year and we all had a blast at the TV5 Live Carnavan. We didn't ride anything but were blown away by all the performers that TV5 has prepared for everyone. The event was the perfect way to kick off the new year with friends and family.
Lots of booths and mini prizes that you can try winning. There was something for everyone like this HoolaHoop challenge that I totally failed at. I tried hard just to get a Barney notebook for Anya.
Barney, Baby Bop, and TJ were also present and it was my first time to see Barney live. They had a mini show and sang all my fave Barney tunes that Anya and I use to sing together. Flying in an airplane, baby bop hop, and the I love you song. I waited for Barney back stage haha :)
Of course, I was also in Style and Relax mode and got to meet and interview lots of stars for the style blog backstage.
The event's climax were the band performances of Duster Chicks, Imago and Sandwich. I was comfortably seated in front of the stage and got to take loads of photos with my co-bloggers. Aya of Imago is very charming, she had a smile on the whole time and even performed a bonus song for the TV5 Carnavan. This was their first performance for the year.
Sandwich had lots of screaming fan girls, including this very young rocker that knew every song of Sandwich. Raymond Marasigan couldn't help but invite the young girl on stage to rock with him on stage.
What a great way to start the new year, TV5's Live Carnavan was truly a festive celebration and we can't wait for another great Carnavan next year.
Please visit Style and Relax soon for more of the TV5 Live Carnavan! :)

Happy New You!
It's 2009 and the best resolution is to make one's life better. Out with the rotten and in with only the crème de la crème. When the clock stroke midnight, I continued with my kitchen wonders. I want to stay in the kitchen all the time for 2009!
I hope this year I can cook for more adorable persons or even start a cooking service business, if there's such. Yet, I'd also be opening an online fashion shop. And I'm looking forward to my first overseas trip for 2009, due on April. I guess I'll be having a blast this year ; )
It's now 3 in the morning, January 1, 2009 - note to self: please take out all the remaining trash this year and replace them with new ones.
