Tito Emboy and Tita Cora Gimik Day 2

Shopping Date

Me with Tita Cora

SM 3 Day Sale Shoppers

This is their second gimik day but was also their last day in Manila :( I brought Tito Emboy to one of my favorite spas where he enjoyed an aromatic relaxing whole body massage.

After that, we met Mama and Tita Cora who just bought Audrey's and Alfred's spanking brand new Nokia phones!

Searching for a meal

Then off to a quick lunch at Max's, balikbayan's favorite restaurant.

Nyeee

That day was also the second day of the SM mall-wide sale and it was chaos everywhere. Tito Emboy was finally saturated with the sight of many pinoys ahahaha

Before they went to the airport, they waited for Tita Aurora from Imus who was bearing danggits for them to bring.

I wish we had more time, for a moment I forgot all worries while they were here. Now it is just us again :( I went with the couple to the airport and wished I could just fly with them! We'll miss you and hope to see all of you soon!

We've been attacked! By the Giant PUSSY!

June must be the toughest month of the year for me. Seriously, I needed to go out everyday until I burned my wallet. My remaining bills are gone now ahaha and I just had to stay at home today.

I wanted to blog but don't have anything much to say except that I enjoyed Confessions of a Shopaholic again on DVD. This time, with my sister. I am pretty excited for something I won't mention because it might get jinxed. But I hope everything goes well on Tuesday. At least, I would have something else to focus on and spend my time into.

Last night, I got to see Pussy Cat Dolls live here in Manila. Or should I say, live on the projector screen as I was too far away to even see the shadows of Nicole. Yet, I enjoyed every beat and words of their songs. I might have looked stupid dancing miles away from the stage but I just had to shook it off :)

The best part for me is when Nicole said, "ladies... you don't need a man to be happy. It is only when you are happy with yourself, that you can be happy with someone else".

Harbor Square, Manila

Yesterday I had lunch at Harbor Square with a comic-artist friend ;)

Azrael and I both needed to catch some air as we haven't slept since the Oktoberfest party and we were very hungry and needed a decent lunch.

Harbor Square is picturesque, just ignore the smell of the bay - we hope someday it will return to its fresh state, oh well.

When I was working in Manila, I often visit this place and my peers and I have meetings here. The scene is great - different from all the buildings and traffic out there. Harbor Square is a good place where you can think, write, or draw.

There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. I tried Iceberg's tapsilog and Azrael loved their lechon kawali. Now I know they just don't make sumptuous halo-halo.

Next Saturday, I am planning a wifi lunch at Tagaytay (I'd reach that place at 3PM). I am excited to bring my laptop and surf the net inside a tree house. If you want to come, just send a nudge.

Cloverfield in Manila

Woot! Another worthwhile distraction is coming and it's no less than the Cloverfield monster. On January 30, Wednesday, be sure to bring your movie budget and call your date - it's the regular screening of Cloverfield in Manila. Woohoo! I'm so excited, like there's no tomorrow.

I'll probably watch at Shangrila or my neighbor, SM so I can drag myself to bed on time after the flick. Not sure if IMAX will show Cloverfield but that screen is too big that we might get motion sick from the movie.

Don't you just love movies? What's life without movies? Love it.

Maroon 5 Coming to Manila - March 2008

Maroon 5's words in their new album are piercing to the point - accurately and realistically written heartbreak songs. The album itself seems to give listeners a tour of what love is, infatuation, excitement, disappointment, and growing apart. Love may suck but Maroon 5 makes it sound good.

On March 5, 2008 the group will be performing at the Araneta Coliseum. It's happening on a Wednesday at 8:00 pm. I am not sure if tickets are already on sale but I am sure to buy the seat somewhere near the front. They're coming soon so if you want to watch, better start saving some concert money.

Here's Maroon 5, they're too fantastic they can sing sitting down.
