Under the Weather

Lately, I have been getting sickly - from stomach problems to fever and now I have fever + colds. Someone told me I must be feigning sickness to avoid certain things but really, do you know how hard it is to be sick? Loss of appetite, chills, and worrying if you have cancer or whatever. It's not something fun to fake.

I think I got stressed last night from trying to work some things, career-wise but I just had to let it go. Wouldn't want to repeat history and I am really seeking work-life balance which is not easy to find. Yet, I am learning to manage myself and proud to know what I can or cannot handle. It's not easy to say NO but now I can.

Frozen Siopao from Fat and Thin and Lucky Me Jiampong

More than anything else, I want to tell you about how I love siopao (again). This is the perfect comfort food for someone like me who is sick in terms of health, and kinda getting sick of life as well. Don't get me wrong but lately, I see things and places and they are all the same to me. Even activities I loved attending, I had to let go this week. I just can't force myself when I am not in the mood. But for Siopao - I'm always in the mood for!

Thank God I have found my fingers tapping and blogging again. For awhile back, I also did not have the mood to blog or write. It's just a phase, 3 months from now I am older again.

Sick and Beatiful + Ipanema Launch

I am terribly sick, maybe because there is so much going on in our calendar and also the crazy weather. Last night on my way to the Ipanema Launch of Gisele Bundchen, I was burning with fever and my eyes were really hot.

The food at Le Souffle comforted me though, but the entire evening I was wiping my nose. Still today I am sick and missed one occassion but tomorrow I should be well for my makeover session and photoshoot with Marie, Rissa, and Mica Calica. I love these girls and I won't let them down.

After that, I have confirmed to go to a tea party for a makeup line somewhere in Makati. Then go home and eat my mama's wonderful dinner.

The Ipanema Launch had a different fashion show and it starred Ballet Philippines wearing the sandals. The lighting was also perfect as I looked decent despite of fever and flu. I went home with my own Ipanema Sandals (it should be for Mama but it was size 8) and another pair for Yeyey in size 5. I promised Mama to get her a pair soon.

Anyway, I'll be writing more about the Ipanema Launch at Style and Relax. I have yet to convert and watermark my photos :D I also need to follow up on some discussions, I should get back to work after my long trip somewhere out there.

Staying Home on a Monday

And my mystery disease has just prevented me from coming to work tomorrow.

I got a urinalysis this afternoon as recommended yesterday by the doctor. Lo and behold, I don't have UTI, so that means the culprit for my rash is still unknown.

I'm worried since I can't stand not knowing what it really is and I think its getting worse everyday. The doctor prescribed me Claritin but what if it's not allergies, I am very safe with food and I never had alcohol in ages which is the only thing I am allergic to.

My family is also saying different things which makes me even more confused. What a weekend this was, I wish I can just contain myself in my office room and get things done - peace, quiet, and productivity. Now I think I'm starting to itch. I'll see another doctor tomorrow morning and I look forward to a more definite answer.

Oh no!

I've been keeping myself busy these past few days, getting things done and enjoying my work. I did not notice until yesterday that I have been seriously growing tiny bumps of rashes on my arms, tummy, and legs. They are not itchy and I haven't had fever yet.

My family's initial findings (yes like doctors) are that I have measles or what we call tigdas hangin but I am going to the doctor later to have myself checked. I'm guessing blood tests again or shots but I hope I get out of this just in time.

A lot of people are getting sick and I even thought to myself how lucky I am that the sickness trend has not yet hit me :(
